Summary
Betrayed by their business manager, Johnny and Moira Rose lose their fortune and have to relocate with their children -- David and Alexis -- to a small town they once purchased as a joke. The mayor sets them up with residence in the local motel, not realizing the Rose's bounceback strategy includes attempting to re-sell the town. The longer it takes to find a buyer, the more the family begins to settle in, with Alexis juggling two men (one of whom is her only's friend's boyfriend), David becoming friends-with-benefits with the motel manager, and Moira exploring acting opportunities in the surrounding area, all from the close quarters of adjoining rooms.
